Phoenix Group adopted a Salvation Army-staffed ‘Senior Home’ (Hogar Jackson) in January 2016. The home has abandoned ‘Ancianos’ (old folks) living there and it is in a neighborhood with a heavy presence of gangs. This year, we celebrated a Thanksgiving Day lunch at Hogar Jackson and delivered food bags for Christmas dinner to 10 needy families as part of our ongoing 2020 CSR support. It is such a blessing and inspiration to assist the elderly and these needy families as they are so appreciative and quick with a smile. The elderly especially enjoy the company and someone talking with them.
